Artist's Statement
Primarily a photo-artist, I have developed my passion for the creation of artful photography that captures and projects the essence or "beingness" of the object depicted, whether it is a simple wildflower or a complex cityscape. Currently other media includes acrylic, pen and ink and watercolor.

Using thoughtful composition, dramatic contrast, and a slight shift in the focal plane, my images come together for an energy-producing visual experience that may channel positive flow to the viewer.

Experience
Sold my first piece of artwork at age 7 and have always incorporated my love of the creative process in my marketing career and everyday life. I have actively pursued the development of the current portfolio of photographic images since 2002, that coincides with my first photography show.

Poppy Arts - located in beautiful downtown Columbia, Missouri. Barbara and her wonderfully knowledgeable staff display outstanding arts and craft creations that just floor me. I'm so very very pleased that they think my images worth to be included. They are the reason that they were chosen from US and Canadian shops, to receive the "2007 Top Retailer Award" from the arts and crafts NICHE Magazine.
